The Fundamentals of Mindfulness

                          A Course For Teachers, Faculty and Staff

Sara Lazar and her team at Harvard discovered that in as little as 8 weeks, mindfulness practice can physically change the structure of the brain in areas that are responsible for stress, self regulation, memory and executive functioning. "When teachers learn mindfulness, they not only reap personal benefits such as reduced stress and burnout but their schools do as well. In randomized controlled trials, teachers who learned mindfulness reported greater efficacy in doing their jobs and had more emotionally supportive classrooms and better classroom organization based on independent observation". -Mindful  


This experiential 6 week course meets once a week for one hour.
